It is time for Christians to stop avoiding the dark & SHINE! It sometimes seems as if we are afraid of the dark. WHY??! Light and darkness are not equal opposites. Light drives out darkness, darkness cannot drive out light. Where light is, the darkness must flee. The light will always win, in the end.
Matthew 5:14-15 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.”
One of the biggest problems with Christians today is that they are hiding their light within the church walls. Why would a person light a candle and then cover it? Or why would you turn on a lamp and then cover it with a box? It is just as ridiculous for a Christian to hide their light from the world. Jesus does not call us to shine in places where His light is already shining brightly. He invaded the darkness with His life and He expects us to do the same. The greater the darkness the brighter your light can shine.
So…I refuse to hide from the dark! I plan on going to every dark place that God sends me. There are way too many hurting, wounded people in the dark that are just waiting for someone to show them the Light. Years ago I was one of them.
